中心李华老师作为Section Chair参加了在香港举办的第九届数字图像处理国际会议

  2017年5月19-22日,中心李华老师参加了在香港举办的第九届数字图像处理国际会议,该会议由SPIE主办,四川省计算机学会协办,李华老师在会上作为Section Chair主持了分会场,并做报告。报告的题目为“基于阴影图的屏幕空间并行卷积滤波方法”,介绍了一种利用阴影图算法获得二进制可见图,并对该二进制可见图进行并行卷积滤波实现柔和阴影绘制的方法,该研究内容是计算机图形学领域的热点研究内容。

  Title: An Image-space Parallel Convolution Filtering Algorithm Based on Shadow Map

  Abstract :Shadow mapping is commonly used in real-time rendering. In this paper, we presented an accurate and efficient method of soft shadows generation from planar area lights. First this method generated a depth map from light’s view, and analyzed the depth-discontinuities areas as well as shadow boundaries. Then these areas were described as binary values in the texture map called binary light-visibility map, and a parallel convolution filtering algorithm based on GPU was enforced to smooth out the boundaries with a box filter. Experiments show that our algorithm is an effective shadow map based method that produces perceptually accurate soft shadows in real time with more details of shadow boundaries compared with the previous works.
